Critical Regulations for NEET UG Counselling Rounds
Understanding free exit, seat forfeiture, and security deposit refund policies prevents loss of eligibility.
Round 1 (Free Exit)
If allotted a seat in Round 1, candidate may choose not to report without forfeiting security deposit. Eligible for Round 2.
Round 2 (Forfeiture Rule)
If allotted a seat in Round 2 and candidate does not join, security deposit is forfeited. Must register again for Round 3.
Round 3 (Mop-Up)
Candidates holding seats in Round 1 or Round 2 are not eligible for Round 3. No upgradation allowed after Round 3 joining.
Stray Vacancy Round
Conducted purely online for remaining unallotted seats. Candidates who fail to join allotted stray seats are debarred for 1 year.
