Understanding Medical Seat Allocation & Quota Rules
All Government Medical Colleges contribute 15% of their total approved intake to the centralized All India Quota (AIQ) administered by MCC DGHS for all qualifying Indian citizens. The remaining 85% intake is reserved for state domicile candidates through respective state counselling boards. Central Universities (AIIMS, JIPMER, BHU, AMU) and Deemed Universities contribute 100% seats to Central Counselling.
